I can understand the concern for your pet’s safety, but it makes it very hard to buy pet food/toys/treats/anything at all for your pet when the top rated reviews for all of the pet products are telling you that your pet will die or need surgery after using them. My dog has been eating Blue dog food since she was a pup. She has been eating this specific Blue dog food ever since I switched her to adult dog food, about a year ago. When I first got my pup, top-rated 1-star reviews had me scared when picking dog food, or any dog product at all, as there seems to be something wrong with every pet product on amazon. I have had nothing even coming close to resembling an issue with this dog food and so I will continue to buy it.

I guess Blue Buffalo sold out last year and the new company changed the recipe. My dog had been on BB since he was old enough for solid food – never had a single problem until this new stuff came along. Of course, we just assumed the recipe was the same and something else must be making him sick. Never even considered that the SAME product he’d been eating for 4 years would suddenly be vastly different enough to make him so ill. He was vomiting nearly every night. Gagging and gulping, eating grass because he was so nauseous. The vet thought he’d developed a panic disorder. We tried prozac, antacids, anti nausea meds, sleep meds; x-rays and scans to check for blockages; blood draws, etc – you name it, nothing worked. As a last ditch effort before resigning ourselves to switching off nights to comfort him through vomiting episodes and force feeding him pills – we decided to switch his food. We switched to Taste of the Wild and, y’all, it’s been a miracle. We have not had A SINGLE EPISODE since getting him entirely off of Blue Buffalo. I am not even kidding when I say he was vomiting daily or every other day – to a point of choking up blood – and now, he’s perfectly healthy. No gagging. At all. No panic episodes. He’s on zero meds now. I’m ashamed we didn’t realize it was this f***ing food earlier. But, to be fair, the company dump and new recipe didn’t come with any rebranding or repackaging to signal the change. It was sneaky and underhanded. I only learned about it from reading other reviews about sick dogs. This new recipe is a scam and poisoning animals. It’s not even grain free like the old stuff was and as the packaging suggests!! It was killing my dog. If you love your animals, even a little bit, buy something else.

Blue Buffalo has been sued several times for false advertising, admitting in court that they use egg shells, corn bi-product, fillers-just about everything they say they don’t use. The food is also recalled at an alarming rate, most recently in March 2017 because the food containe??
