My dog likes this. She has arthritis and was limping quite allot despite being on medication. Switched her and her slightly younger brother to this and she limps far less. Can’t say for sure the food is the reason for the change, because the nature of arthritis is to have periods of remission, but I know I am going to stick with this food for her. I also noticed a reduction in fecal production with this food, for both the chihuahua and the lab. Since I have to pick it up, that is a welcomed side effect. Some folks think that is also a sign of a higher quality food, because the dog is using more of it, rather than just excreting a whole bunch of junk. Previously I had been feeding Natural Balance, but the lab didn’t like it. So, before I did research, just to get her to eat, I switched to Pedigree. Both dogs liked it and it was affordable, but this is when the limping started in the lab. I hope this helps some folks.

Had done nutrition research before shifting my 3 dogs to BB, started this about 4 months ago, they all liked the food, but about 6 weeks into the switch I started to notice 2 of my dogs coat got really dull and both had clumps of fur falling out (heading into winter) which is strange for them. One of them got pretty lethargic and drinking more…went to vet no real problem in blood work-started doing more research and found some internet posts about potential heavy metal contamination in BB foods-I decided to do more diligence in research of both nutrition and possible contaminants. I switch them all off BB 2 months ago and have noticed a dramatic positive change in both their appearance and activity level. Dogs much happier no longer on BB.

Need a food that will maintain or reduce weight. Does this do it?
Answer: My mini doxies love this food, but as to whether or not it maintains or reduces weight, I honestly don’t know.

I have a medium size senior dog which weights 45lbs will this be to small where she won’t just swallow it but chew
Answer: I have two dogs over 60lbs one’s a chewer the other inhales. The best I can come up with — individual pieces are about the size of a cherry pit.

Answer: Correction; my dog eats 1.6 cups a day and the bag lasts 60 days, so 96 cups to a bag.
