Top Positive Review
My dog Zeus is very picky when it comes to food, especially healthier foods, but he loves this one. I have tried so many other dog foods and he seems to always eat this brand with no issues, he likes both the chicken and this salmon formula. It also seems to be helping with his skin and coat. I also like the fact that the price for this Grain-Free dog food is significantly lower than most other brands.
And everyone giving this one-star reviews have no idea how the review system works. These reviews are for the BRAND/PRODUCT you are buying, NOT to complain about an issue you had receiving the wrong size. That is an Amazon shipping issue, it has nothing to do with this product and it does not deserve your 1-star review. Amazon should know this and remove those pointless reviews. I had the same issue, got the 15lb bag instead and immediately contacted Amazon. They quickly resolved the issue by sending me the correct 30lb bag AND letting me keep the 15lb bag they sent in error for free as compensation. So there you have it!

We have used Diamond Naturals Grain free salmon over a year now and thought that it was fine. Dog liked it, no issues… until today. Our 7yr old Italian Greyhound had been acting lethargic and not himself. So we went to vet. Turns out his heart is grossly enlarged (should be 30% of cavity, is now at 70%) First question vet asked was what food he was on. When we should him The Diamond Naturals grain free, he explained that he and other vets have seen a large uptick in heart problems and heart enlargement cause by grain free foods and to switch immediately. We are really hoping this is reversible.
I am not here to bash a company or make unsubstantiated claims. In fact, I am reading up on best dog foods and Diamond Naturals does have a grain version… so we may decide to go that route once we have him healthy again and vet oks it. I’m only writing this review specific to their grain free version to warn what can happen. do research and talk to your vet. It may be some breeds are more susceptible than others in this area.

Last month I bought this bag at $36 why did the price jump up so much?
Answer: The price has change 4 times from 36 to 47 back to 36 up again to 47, and it is now at 37. I don’t know what is going on. I am not subscribing. If it goes back up, I am shopping elsewhere.
I do not want to get a 15 lb bag in order to try it the first time….and there smaller sizes that I have missed?
Answer: If you contact Diamond Foods directly, they will likely be able to send you a couple of small sample size bags of this food to try out. They are sending me samples of a different food to try on one of my pups.
Does it contain ANY beef, beef liver, venison, chicken, turkey, lamb, or dairy?
Answer: The skin and coat formula does not contain any of those proteins you listed.
